Below are three videos which show poetry recited in English at an incredibly fast rate. Those that are not used to such presentation and style—started in the early 1990s in Los Angeles, at Project Blowed (also click here)—may have a hard time understanding (e-mail me for lyrics to the first video). I have found such videos useful in talking about the competence/performance distinction in Linguistics 101, as well as the related topic of Speech Errors.
