Ken Safir has received a three year NSF grant to continue work on the African Anaphora (Afranaph) Project. The grant, NSF BCS-0919086, is titled “Uncovering Theoretically Significant Empirical Patterns in the African Languages”, with Safir as the principal investigator.
The Afranaph Project strives to develop descriptions of African language in order to aid in the study of the nature and distribution of anaphoric effects. Visit the Afranaph website, www.africananaphora.rutgers.edu, to learn more about the project.
Congratulations to Ken, and all of the other Rutgers linguists working on the Afranaph Project!
