Rutgers Linguists at Amsterdam Colloquium

Rutgers Linguistics made quite a showing at the 17th Amsterdam Colloquium, hosted by the University of Amsterdam.

Current grad student Daniel Altshuler presented a paper entitled “Meaning of ‘now’ and other temporal location adverbs”.

Alumni Jessica Rett (UCLA) and Adrian Brasoveanu (UCSC) also presented papers: “Equatives, measure phrases and NPIs” and “Modified Numerals as Post-suppositions”, respectively.

Professor Roger Schwarzschild was an invited speaker, giving a talk entitled “Event semantical analysis of ‘inherently plural noun'”.
