The 5th Formal Approaches to South Asian Languages (FASAL) workshop had a good showing from Rutgers this year. The conference was hosted by the Yale University Linguistics Department this time around, and took place during the weekend of April 11th-12th. Saturday’s events featured a poster by Diti from her second QP work, titled “The syntax of question particles in Manipuri wh-Questions,” and a talk by Naga from his dissertation research, titled “Reflexive connectivity, reconstruction, and the interpretation of chains in Tamil.” Sunday afternoon, Vandana gave a talk titled “Admitting -hii to the exclusive club,” reporting on joint work with Kristen.
