The fifth of the teaching conference Linguistics in the Classroom will be held on Friday November 13. The conference is an excellent opportunity for professional development. Faculty and experienced TAs will share their experience in teaching linguistics. This year, the conference will have two guest speakers. Dr. Liliana Sanchez will give a ST@R talk incorporated into the conference program. Then, Dr. Crystal Akers, a Rutgers Linguistics alum., will give her talk entitled ‘Applying “Seven Principles of Good Practice”: Examples from Online Learning’. The conference will start at 9:00 AM and continue till the end of day with a reception at 5:30 PM.
