Diti Bhadra has successfully defended her dissertation. Dr. Bhadra’s dissertation is entitled “Evidentiality and Questions: Bangla at the Interfaces”, where she investigates the myriad interactions of perspectival elements with speech acts, doxastic domains and epistemic domains, in addition to biased questions, alternative questions and disjunction at the syntax-semantics interfaces.
Her dissertation was advised by Veneeta Dayal and Mark Baker. Other members on Dr. Bhadra’s dissertation committee were Anthony Gillies and Valentine Hacqurd (external). We would like to congratulate Dr. Bhadra and her dissertation committee.
